It’s come to our attention that Dunwoody North has a number of High school and College Graduates that will not enjoy any of the typical pomp and circumstance surrounding this great step.
A group has formed to develop a celebration - They need you! If you are a graduate, a parent, sibling or friend of a graduate or you simply want to be a part of this great change.

GRADUATION CELEBRATION
Dear neighbors:
2020 Graduates will be missing out on many things this year: Prom, graduation/, and family celebrations of all sorts. These are rites of passage that *everyone* has had a chance to experience when it was their turn, but this year’s high school and college graduates will miss. High schools and colleges may or may not find some way to celebrate them, but most certainly, these events won’t be what grads have worked for and dreamed about leading up to this May/June.
What’s the good news?
Dunwoody North can come together and support them!
A small group of organizers has responded to neighborhood interest in having some sort of event for our local High School or College graduates. We have created an electronic signup to be used for anyone, with a graduate or not, to help out. We are planning for a Caravan Celebration in the first half of May - a car caravan, either along a route by all the Grads homes, with cheering, honking, waving well-wishers. Caravaners can decorate their cars, or just ride along and wave – any level of celebrating is welcome.
So, if you have a 2020 graduate in your household and would like to be included in an event, please let us know by signing up on the list. AND, If you are someone who would like to caravan to help celebrate the grads, please sign up as well.

We haven't finalized anything yet – we’d like to get a sense for the number of graduates to truly put this together. More details will be sent closer to the date. Please sign up no later than April 23rd.

DNCA Scholarship
The Dunwoody North Civic Association is once again awarding a $1,000.00 Scholarship for the winning essay to a 2020 graduating senior. The topic is: “What is the contribution you would like to make?”
Deadline for submission is Saturday, May 16th 2020.
