Code RED DeKalb County
DeKalb County Residents are encouraged to register for "Code Red Emergency Notifications". Upon completion of your registration, you will begin receiving alerts via the telephone numbers that you have designated.
The Code RED system delivers two basic alert types:
- Emergency Notifications - Cover situations such as the 2015 water main break in Tucker that threatened the county water supply with contamination.
- Severe Weather Warnings - Automatically notify citizens in the path of severe weather just moments after a warning has been issued by the National Weather Service.
The mission of DeKalb County Emergency Management (DEMA) is to protect citizens from all hazards by providing and coordinating resources, expertise, leadership and advocacy through a comprehensive, risk based security and emergency management program.
