Changes to Yard of the Month for 2020

The Dunwoody North Civic Association Beautification Committee is changing Yard of the Month a bit for this summer season, partly due to the ongoing health risks but also to see if perhaps we can do it better.

Traditionally, a team of judges would take a couple of days each month to pile into a big car and cruise all the streets of our neighborhoods to find the yard of the month. This season (somewhat like the holiday decorations contest) we are instead asking residents to send us their nominations. We will gather up all the entries, view the properties and select a winner.

Kings Point Drive - 2018

If you would like to nominate a yard, and yes, you can nominate your own yard, we will need a picture for reference, the address and (if you know the person) it would be great to already know if they want to participate and have a sign in their yard if they are selected.

Nominations must be in by the first Sunday of the new month so Sunday July 5th is the deadline for July Yard of the Month.

Life at the moment is still seriously disrupted so we understand that some yards may not be as well cared for as usual but still, neat, creative, colorful yards benefit everyone so winners will at least have lawns & bushes that are well-maintained.

To nominate, please email us from our website: DunwoodyNorth.org
Select ’Beautification’ from the recipient drop down list. You can upload a maximum of three images.

Have a great summer!
