Emergency Situations

In the event of an emergency, always dial 911 immediately. This includes situations such as:

  • Fires
  • Medical emergencies
  • Crimes in progress
  • Gas leaks
  • Downed power lines
  • Suspected poisoning

Online Reporting

For non-emergency roadway (e.g. potholes), sidewalk (e.g. broken), and park maintenance issues, you can also submit a report online through SeeClickFix.com.

Common Issues and Who to Contact

  • Animal Issues: Contact DeKalb County Animal Control at (404) 294-2996.
    • NOTE: If a deer is injured, call 911. A Dunwoody Police officer can assess the situation and will likely have to put down the deer. DeKalb Animal Control does not respond to injured deer.
    • DeKalb County Sanitation will collect dead animals along roadways. To request collection, call (404) 294-2900 or email sanitation@dekalbcountyga.gov providing as much information as possible regarding the location and type of animal to be collected.
  • Blocked Roads: If the blockage is due to a downed tree, call 911 or the City of Dunwoody Public Works emergency number (678) 382-6850 Option 2.
  • Code Violations: Contact City of Dunwoody Code Enforcement at (678) 382-6890 or you can also submit a report online through Service Request - Dunwoody.
  • Downed Power Lines: Call 911 or Georgia Power at (888) 891-0938.
  • Gas Leaks: Contact Atlanta Gas Light at (877) 427-4321.
  • Internet Outage: Contact AT&T at (877) 737-2478 or Comcast at (800) 934-6489.
  • Power Outages: Contact Georgia Power at (888) 660-5890.
  • Sanitation Issues: Contact DeKalb County Sanitation at (404) 294-2900 or email sanitation@dekalbcountyga.gov.
  • Street Light Outages: Click here to report a street light outage to Georgia Power.
  • Safety: If you see something suspicious, call 911. You can also anonymously report criminal activity or unsolved crimes by calling the Crime Stoppers Tip Line at (404) 577-8477.
  • Traffic Signal Issues: Contact the Dunwoody Police Department at (770) 382-6900.
  • Water and Sewer Issues: Contact DeKalb County Watershed Management at (770) 270-6243.
