The Dunwoody North Civic Association (DNCA) held its annual meeting on Thursday, April 17, 2025, bringing together neighbors for important updates, community discussion, and the election of new leadership for the 2025 term.
A key part of the meeting was the announcement of the newly elected board members and committee chairs who will serve the association throughout the year:

Treasurer Julie Horowitz provided a detailed report on the DNCA's financial health. She highlighted the success of the annual Trolley Ride, noting that it nearly reached full capacity and was close to breaking even.
The association recognized the long and dedicated service of Gerri Penn, who is retiring from the DNCA after an incredible 30 years of commitment. Cindy Dennis shared heartfelt remarks, and Gerri will be presented with a beautiful planter filled with flowers as a token of the DNCA's sincere appreciation.
Officer Theresa Hernandez of the Dunwoody Police Department addressed the meeting attendees, offering valuable insights and information on neighborhood safety.

Dunwoody Mayor Lynn Deutsch provided important updates on two significant community topics: the ongoing DeKalb County Schools redistricting process and the current status of emergency medical services (ambulance availability) in our area.
The DNCA was honored by the attendance of Dunwoody City Council members John Heneghan and Tom Lambert, who engaged with residents and shared their perspectives on city matters.
The meeting also saw a positive influx of new members, with five individuals joining the Dunwoody North Civic Association.
Attendees enjoyed a social atmosphere with a beer tasting courtesy of Moondog Growlers, along with a delicious spread of snacks.
